Gifts From Cupid

Valentines Day is approaching fast, with pinks and reds, roses and hearts, jewels and sweets filling our overly romantic minds. A day for lovers, a holiday that is always full of love or for some Valentines day is a day that one shall sit inside, mope and fill their mind with unhappy thoughts...calling themselves "forever alone". This holiday is not meant for such nonsense, the color palette is happy, the lips are painted bright, the night is full of love and sequins are the stars!

The perfect way to show off your sweet side!

I found this at NewYork and Company, in moment I was so excited as it is so hard to find a blouse, covered in hearts but is still mature and classic.

(Click to purchase this top!)
Pair this top with a classic V-neck cardigan in the color red, white, pink (warm or pale) and soft gray.
Show off your waist with a skinny, fun color waist belt and pair with gray or classic blue jeans, black pants or a classic skirt. Great for shopping, a casual date night or for catching a romantic flick!

This vintage Betsey Johnson dress has all the right charm for this Valentines Day.

Look for dresses that show off your personality but don't scream it in everyones face. (as that might come off as obnoxious and that is not a good look) Find your right shade, a fun foral or heart print and the right cut for your body. Working a fun dress for a Valentine date night shows off your flirty side and with drive your date wild with how stunning you look!

Pair your flirty dress with heels, a quirky piece of jewelry (remember the bigger the print on the dress the smaller the jewelry) and a fun clutch!

A more casual way to sparkle!

Pairing a plain top with a detailed, sequined or beaded shawl promises a more simple statement than piling on sequin after sequin pieces. (creating the look of a dallas pageant beauty queen)

Pair the outfit with a piece of statement jewelry such as a big necklace or flirty earrings, classic skinny jeans and wedges or heels in a neutral palette.

Talk about about a sweetheart!

A red dress always catches the eye but this whole outfit is sure to catch your sweethearts eyes!

Keep it simple when wearing "eye catching" colors, remember the fit and length of the dress is all it takes to send the right or wrong kind of signals!

Wear this out & about for lunch with your girlfriends, out shopping for last minute gifts or meeting your sweetie for cupcakes and coffee!

Pair a casual dress with dressy flats or wedges, a plain cardigan with a hint of flare, a pastel handbag (like the pale pink Hello Kitty bag) and a statement necklace or with statement earrings. (with earrings wear a waist belt)

Anything covered in lipstick kisses is a must for a gal looking to be kissed!

The hot pink against the sheer navy has a bright meets neutral relationship, then the pop of red, coral and pink smooches keeps the outfit playful!

Keep in mind when wearing a sheer top that your undershirt should always match your skin tone and should not have lace or be low cut in less the top itself is also cut low.

For a look like this one, start with a patterned neutral blouse with a coordinating color blazer  from the pattern, pair with classic black pants or classic skinny jeans, maybe tuck the blouse into the jeans and add a belt for a casual "put together" look, flats or everyday heel and a pair of fun earring should add the finishing touches to your look!

(Blouse & Blazer- Forever 21)

I hope everyone has a great Valentines Day, remember it is not just for couples; it is for anyone and everyone! Enjoy!
